Alexa's work is inspired by natural landscapes, flora and fauna of the Bay Area and beyond and mainly focuses on scientific and natural history illustration and design.
Plus some miscellaneous mischief mixed in.
She's an active member of the local Sheriff's Search and Rescue unit and reads stories to elementary school kids for a living.
She worked as managing naturalist at a waterfowl wildlife refuge and redwood forest along with being curator of an interpretive natural history museum for four years; coinciding with a career in parks and recreation for almost a decade and a half.
